Below are the services offered by Over the Top Detailing. Over the Top Detailing specializes in exterior paint care, but basic interior services are also available.The products used on your vehicle are only of the best and do not sacrifice quality for price. All of the products and brands used have been researched and/or tested thoroughly to ensure they are of only of the highest quality, most effective, yet safest for your vehicle.

Exterior

Wash and Protect

4-6 hours
Recommended every 2-6 months

• Pre-rinse and hand wash using the 2-bucket method with microfiber mitt or other gentle media to reduce the potential for inducing marring/swirl marks
• Vehicle is pre-soaked in a car wash foam formula to loosen dirt before coming in contact with the paintwork with wash media to further reduce the potential of inducing swirl marks/scratches**
  
• Wheels, wheel wells, and tires cleaned
• Potentially sensitive wheels will be cleaned with a non-acidic, pH-balanced wheel cleaner to prevent damage
  
• Lower and front panels treated with paint-safe cleaner to remove bugs or tar, if needed
• Vehicle is dried with soft microfiber
• Exterior is clayed to remove bonded contaminants (as needed; required if not completed previously)
• Door/trunk/hatch jams cleaned
• Dressing is applied to tires and wheel wells
• Synthetic sealant is applied to wheels/rims
• Synthetic sealant is applied to windshield to repel rain
  
• Exterior trim dressed/protected
• Glass cleaned
• Exterior paint is protected by a synthetic paint sealant or carnauba-based wax.
  

       

       
Maintenance Wash

Only for vehicles that previously received the Wash and Protect service within the last 4 months.

      1-Step Paint Correction

Recommended for:

• Includes everything in the Wash and Protect service
• Paint thickness is measured to ensure that the paint is safe for polishing
• Light swirl marks are removed by machine to reveal a smooth, high-gloss paint finish
  

Multi-Step Paint Correction
*Starting at $420
1+ days (12+ hours)

Recommended for daily-driven vehicles. If you are expecting 90-95+% of defects removed on your daily driver, this service is likely required.

• Similar to the 1-Step Paint Correction service (Includes everything in the Wash and Protect service) but for vehicles with more moderate swirl marks and imperfections. Most vehicles will fall under this category.
• A heavier-cutting polish/compound is used to remove swirl marks and imperfections and then followed up with one to three finer polishes to restore a smooth, high-gloss paint finish. The severity of the defects will determine the number of polishing steps required. This is the most time-consuming, yet most important step in improving your vehicle's paint finish appearance.
• Headlights and taillights polished to remove hazing and improve light output (optional/as needed)
  
• Vehicle may be re-washed to remove compounding dust before waxing/sealing
  
• Wet sanding is optional to remove or reduce deeper scratches

For those that want the best of everything—and then some. Designed for your garage queen or any vehicle that you want as close to perfect as possible.

• Extra steps of machine polishing are completed to get the absolute most out of your paint’s appearance.
• All painted surfaces are waxed/sealed, including door/trunk/hatch seals and under the hood
• Exterior paint receives multiple layers of wax or sealant for maximum appearance and protection

• Basically, this includes all available services—exterior, interior, and additional steps of machine polishing (burnishing) and wax/sealant applications to allow for maximum gloss and protection.

*Please note:
Times listed are only approximates and may vary. Minimum time estimates are for small to mid-size cars that are not heavily soiled or abused. SUVs will likely be on the high end time estimate or exceed the times listed above. Every vehicle is different in terms of size, styling, paint type, and condition. These are all major determining factors in the final time each detail will take, along with your expectations. Some services can be customized to meet those expectations. Rates are based on $35/hour. Maximum cost can be determined before the detail if the vehicle is inspected beforehand. Full payment is due after the scheduled service(s) are completed. Cash is currently the only form of payment accepted, but repeat customers may choose to use checks.

Kicking off the 2011 detailing season, mobile detail services will be phased out. This is mainly due to the fact that working in a fixed location (home garage) means the environment is much more controlled, equaling more consistent results. This allows me to have every one of my products and tools at my disposal ensuring an efficient detailing procedure. If services are needed on a vehicle(s) that cannot be moved, please contact me to discuss the details.
